Imperial Russian Stout 14%

Imperial Russian Stout 14%

The English Baltic Porter has the nickname "Russian Stout" because Catherine the Great loved these beers. After weeks of fermentation with several yeasts in open vats, the porter matures for many months in old whiskey barrels from Ireland until it loses its rough character and runs velvety smooth down your throat. This could take years until we release the barrel. The intense roasted notes come from the malts, the licorice tone is typical of the yeasts, roasted coffee and cocoa notes come from the roasted malts, the hop bitterness is so well packed that you can hardly feel it
